Greenwich Park Blossom Engagement Shoot

Having recently moved to London, UK, I couldn’t wait to dive into the sea of blossoms and decided on Greenwich Park as an engagement shoot location with Kevin and Maddie. Originally from Australia and already happily married, they joined me for a Saturday morning at one of the Blossom locations around London in April, the very popular Greenwich Park.

Maddie and Kevin had already shared their elopement photos from New Zealand with me so I was excited to work with a couple who had experience with photo shoots and knowing what to expect. I believe every couple deserves to capture their love story in fresh, new ways no matter what life stage they’re at.

How our day went

Our day kicked off bright and early at 9:30 am in Greenwich Park at the Blossom Trees which are super easy to find on Google Maps. Getting there early is a must, especially on a Saturday when everyone’s vying for that perfect shot amid the blooming trees, cameras in hand. But the early start was totally worth it for the pink blossom moments we captured! We walked along the path surrounded by trees, before changing up our locations to continue the engagement shoot.

As we wandered from Greenwich Park towards Greenwich Market, we couldn’t resist stopping at a charming garden along the way. And of course, no London adventure is complete without a cozy coffee shop stop at the Greenwich market where we wrapped up our shoot, sipping on lattes.

Making the Most of Your Blossom Tree Shoot

So, you’re dreaming of your own blossom-filled photoshoot in London? Here’s my advice on making it easy and carefree:

  1. Time it Right: Plan your shoot for early April when those blossoms are at their peak. Locations such as Greenwich Park are super popular for the blossoms so head out there on a weekday for your engagement shoot. They’re your best bet for beating the crowds and having the park all to yourselves.
  2. Embrace the Early Bird Life: Set that alarm! Sunrise shoots not only give you dreamy lighting but also a serene atmosphere for your photoshoot antics.
  3. Partner Up with a Pro: A talented engagement photographer is like your love story’s best friend—guiding you through the process and capturing those perfect moments effortlessly.
  4. Plan a Picnic or Coffee Date: Treat yourselves to a romantic picnic amidst the blossoms or cozy up in a nearby coffee shop afterward. It’s the cherry on top of your bloomin’ perfect day!
